valentine's date - trampoline gym!

This was mine and Dan's seventh Valentine's day together and at this point, I think we're out of ideas. What will we do when we're on our 20th or 30th or 50th V-day?????

BUT I came up with something super fun and funny and different this year!

TRAMPOLINE GYM!

This place sort of near us called Skyzone has indoor trampolines - you can just jump on their regular wall to wall trampolines, or play dodgeball, or practice shooting hoops, and jump into a foam pit. It was pretty cheap too. We bought hour passes - which was a little long for us but still fun.

It was a lot of fun but wow, super tiring!! We got to sort of try tricks and just goofed off and we had a blast jumping in the main trampoline area.

Happy (belated) Valentine's Day from the Cowheys...  :)

pumpkin picking

Even though we have been busy painting & picking out cabinets & making our first mortgage payment (can we say .... ew?) Dan and I found some time to go pumpkin picking at our favorite spot - Merrymead Farms. They have a hayride, a corn maze, fall foods, and this amazing store that sells everything from butter cake (which we avoid purchasing because we eat it in one sitting) to cider donuts to milk and eggs. It's family friendly and even though we don't have kids (but lets face it, it hit me how much I do want a kid or two to be able to take pumpkin picking) we had a nice time, despite my cold.

Happy Fall!

PS. I'll be posting some house photos soon. We're not living there yet but it's looking pretty good!

new beginnings!

This blog will become much more of a (fake) housewife blog this fall...

We bought a house!

And with this house will come lots of painting, decorating, and all that fun stuff so expect news/pictures/details each week!  :)

happenings

Summer is ending sadly but my fun is just beginning! I'm headed to Florida tomorrow to visit my amazing friend Mandy with two other amazing friends! I am also turning 26 tomorrow (but let's ignore that part). Here are some lovely photos from the last couple weeks!

Spent time with these cuties ^

Walks with Max = constant exploring and sniffing

New glasses!

Ran the Livestrong 5k with my friend Laura and my dad! My dad finished less than a minute after me!

More baby time

Much needed time by the beach!

And cuddles with our baby.

one year anniversary

The year went by so fast. I remember it so well - I woke up early on July 14, 2012 and heard rain and just about had a nervous breakdown but after a few minutes it just sort of didn't matter because I knew - rain or no rain - I was marrying Dan and that is all that mattered.

...

Our actual anniversary was yesterday so we went to a matinee of Wicked in Philly!

However, our seats left very little to be desired.

They were god-awful.

I literally could not see the stage. So I had to sit like this the entire show.

Despite our awful seats, the musical was pretty wonderful.

We then headed back to KOP, ran home to grab our duffel bags, and went and checked into the Radisson (yes, the hotel we had our reception at) - we got a complimentary suite for the night (hence why Max went to stay with my parents).

We got to stay in the same fantasy suite as as last year. Ours was called "Cabin in the Woods".

Dan also treated me to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and we spent some time and won a little money in the casino.

It was a nice escape from reality for a bit and a nice reminder to stay in the Radisson. The first year of marriage has been fun but we're ready for year two! Hopefully it includes buying a house and maybe adding to our family. Maybe.

some nights you just need pizza

What a week this has been1

Dan started a new job (he's a camp counselor at, get this, a LEGO camp!) and I've been working plus working out HARD the last week or so. It is also a couple days from our ONE YEAR anniversary!!

Cannot believe it!

So we decided we were too tired to cook and ordered a pie.

I regret nothing.

...

This weekend we plan on celebrating the big one year by seeing Wicked in Philadelphia (I can't wait!) and staying overnight at the Radisson where we had our reception (we get a free suite!)

what's better than a phillies game on the first night of summer?

A FREE Phillies game on the first night of summer!

The fabulous owner of my gym randomly asked me the other day if I wanted tickets (plus a parking pass!) to the Phillies game last night. She couldn't use them and didn't want them to go to waste so of course I accepted! I'm not a huge baseball fan (to be honest, it sort of bores me) but I knew Dan would want to go so I snatched those babies up and off to Citizens Bank Park we went.

(I've never sat this close so that was pretty cool)

They lost...

Check out this very cool sandcastle they had at the ballpark!

I had every intention of doing nothing big this weekend but I'm happy we ventured in Philadelphia for the game. Last time we went it was rainy so this beautiful summer night was very welcome.

summertime = blogging time!

Well friends, clearly my blogging skills need some work. But I have good reasons! I mean, one who works between 45-50 hours a week plus finishing up half marathon training just likes to use her free time to sleep. BUT it's summer. Summer = adventures. I plan to be very obnoxious with photos because I want to remember all the fun and exciting things coming up. And plus, our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY is next month! It seems like the year went by so fast.

So here's updates on our lives:

Memorial Day was spent in Brigantine (of course) though the weather did not fully cooperate, we made the best of it.

Spent time with one of my favorite little boys:

Max turned six!

I got to eat carbs. Lots of carbs.

And...oh yeah! Finished my first half marathon!

I made Dan walk the loop at Valley Forge (5 miles!)

Consider this my return to blogging.

:)
